Way of the Samurai is certainly an underdog of a series. Despite my massive interest in the action genre, only just recently did I pick up the first game and experience its splendor.
Simply put, Way of the Samurai is an excellent “choose your own adventure” tale that’s seldom explored in the realm of action games. Now, Way of the Samurai 3 is poised to make a splash on October 13th, courtesy of UFO Games. Hit the jump for a media blowout, including a trailer and various screenshots!

I highly reccomend both games to anyone who likes Samurai stuff or free form gameplay. I say free form, but there isn’t a real word for it. Sort of like choose your own adventure, but not quite. Both are really cheap, one especially, so if you can find it out there please pick it up.
Seriously, six dollars. You should have a PS2 laying around.
