IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey

Ever since MiG-29 Fulcrum was released in 1998, I have had a taste for combat flight simulator games. The sheer intensity, realism, and scale has the ability to fully immerse you into a supersonic world of chaos.

IL-2 Sturmovik was released solely for Windows way back in 2001. It received rave reviews, and fans of the genre have been waiting almost a decade for its sequel. Uncharted3

In a recent interview with Naughty Dog’s creative director Amy Hennig, reassurance was given to all Uncharted fans that Uncharted 2 will not conclude the story. Obviously, you’re going to get a little more out of it if you have. But he’s going to have lots of adventures, thank god.” I think we are all under agreement when I say, “OMG MORE! MOOORRRE!”

Uncharted 2, one of PS3′s top exclusives, hits store shelves on October 13th. Hit the jump to see the full interview between Playstation.blog and Amy Hennig.

Sega

SEGA have unearthed a confidential document that listed Sony’s plans to bring the entire backcatalogue of PS2 games to the PSN to download, along with the possibility of also allowing Dreamcast titles.

The marketing document, dated from August 2009, was uploaded to a SEGA PR FTP folder, but is subsequently unavailable. It stated that Sony America “wants to sell all PS2 titles on PSN (GTA Vice City/Sonic/etc).” It also goes on to reveal that Sony wishes to sell the new PS Motion controller in Japan next spring, with a forecast of selling 4 – 5 million units in an unspecified time.

If this turns out to be true, then it is indeed exciting news, but at the moment it remains unclear as to whether or not this is a concrete announcement or a throwaway suggestion from a corporate meeting.
