onlive5803 OnLive Public Beta Opens

Coverage regarding OnLive has definately quietened down since its initial announcement, but we all knew that something was being cooked up behind the scenes. Over at the OnLive blog is a post which lets US residents sign up for a public OnLive beta starting this Summer 09.

Current game lineup:

  • Burnout Paradise (complete)
  • Hawx
  • F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin
  • Frontlines Fuel of War
  • Tomb Raider: Underworld
  • GRID
  • World of Goo
  • Riddick
  • Crysis Warhead
  • Wheelman
  • Lego Batman
  • Unreal Tournament 3
  • Major League Baseball 2K9
  • Mirror’s Edge
  • Prince of Persia
  • Bioshock

Hey, not a bad line up of games there. The recent uproar over Microsoft’s games on demand might have taught the devs at OnLive a thing or two about reasonable pricing and accessibility to games.

Altghough its probabally not the only thing that OnLive has learned from Microsoft…

“BTW, my screen name is “Steve Perlman”. Hope to see you OnLive.

Sign up for the beta here.

  1. I’m signed in and ready to go. This will finally give me an excuse to play Lego Batman!

I signed up a few days ago. I’m curious/excited to see how well this’ll work.

I signed up, never heard of OnLive until this post. I’ll play beta but probably won’t purchase anything when it goes gold. Call me old school, but i’d rather have the physical media rather than digital downloads
