PlayStation 3 owners may be a little late to the party, but a demo of Lost Planet 2 will definitely be coming to PSN later next Thursday. To quell the many raging fanboys, Capcom has done the smart thing and thrown in some extra exclusives for the Sony demo. Suffice to say, these relentless, Lost Planet-hungry crowd should be rather pleased.

Head inside to find out what sort of digital chowder they’ll be playing next week.

For the patience of many PS3 owners, PlayStation Blog has stated that they will indeed receiving the following:

Beginning September 24, PS3 owners will not only be able to engage in the frantic battle against the enormous G-Type Akrid, the boss Akrid of the episode 1, but will also get the exclusive experience of two additional missions in an online co-operative extermination of the Akrid of E.D.N. III.

I personally thought Lost Planet was a decent entry into the shooter genre, albeit a little repetitive. With the new co-op gameplay, gamers will be sure to find some more replay value in their Akrid-killing adventure. That said, patience is definitely a virtue, and Capcom has rewarded those of you who were willing to wait for the goods.

Lost Planet 2‘s demo will be available for download on September 24.
