Looking for something to hold you over until Left 4 Dead 2 is released on November 17th? Well look no further. Valve has announced that September 29th will bring the “Crash Course” DLC for Left 4 Dead. So for those of you still boycotting Left 4 Dead 2, you have something else to hold you over until the sequel inevitably pulls you in.

As previously announced, the DLC will be free on the PC but set back 360 owners 560 ($7).

Also, for those of you that can’t wait for the sequel to roll in, Valve’s Kim Swift announced at EA’s Tokyo Press Conference that the Left 4 Dead 2 demo will be available on October 27th.

We expect this to be the advanced access demo Valve’s marketing VP Doug Lombardi spoke of over the summer but we will keep you updated on this as more news becomes available to us. No specifics as to whether this date includes both the 360 and the PC, or what the demo will contain, but again, we are here to serve you.

Feel free to check out our E3 private demo session, and Q&A with series writer Chet Faliszek!

  1. Expect my review shortly after release!

  2. Can’t wait for this. Even though the original four campaigns were rather small, they’ve got a massive re-playability factor. That, coupled with the fact that Valve has promised to release new content for L4D even after L4D2 is out means the original still has some life left in it.

  3. I can’t wait to get my hands on L4D2… I guess Crash Course will have to hold me over till the demo hits.
