Valve also found that they got higher profits from selling cheaper games.
Not just more units sold, more revenue.
If I remember correctly, it was at least 500% profits from the 50% off L4D sale, as well as sales for a lot of other games.

They published the data saying that retail games right now should be cheaper than they are now. Who knew that pricing a game cheaper than $60 each would make more people buy them?

this sucks, it means i gotta go to GAME and spend £17.50 on 2100 ms points so that i can spend 560 of those points on a 2 chapter level.i think ill use that money to help me buy L4D2.

Hey Simplex –
If DLC for Batman is free on 360 and Ps3, it would simply mean that the overall downloads are cross-platform. If there is a DLC exclusively for the 360 and NOT ps3, chances are theyre going to charge for it. Therefore there isnt anything that fishy about that. Its how Microsoft rolls I guess.

Doesn’t Mr. Gates have enough f*cking money by now? He’s one of the richest people in the USA.

Put it like this:

- Paying for the Xbox 360
- Paying for the game
- Paying for Xbox LIVE Gold
- Paying to change gamertag
- Paying for DLC
- And More

Only DLC containing achievements are what you have to pay for due to it’s Microsoft System. Maybe they’ve just made it so we have to now definatly pay, who knows?

More to the point is there anything for free on Xbox 360, yeah we do pay for a better experience rather than rival consoles but does it mean we have to pay this much? after all it’s Microsoft we’re talking about here – a billion+ dollar company…

I lold at the ps3 comment, ps3 instead of 360 and you dont feel like its a scam. i feel robbed everytime i drop out of a game of the classic cant find any game or even better cant connect to ea online. oh boy are you dumb, 7.99 a month for good service or free shity service, im going to chose to good service and better games for one, ps3 is a single player console at best, networking is just not its thing, and good luck playing l4d on ps3 cause as brood said its never going to happen and even if it was on the ps3 you would never get an update, lol ps3 sucks
