[Congratulations rooster1117!]

There’s something about being American that inherently forces you to love cars.

All you have to do is post below what your favorite car is: it can be anything, from Henry Ford’s Model T, to the Lamborghini Murciélago. Gamer Limit will choose the best explained entry, then after we receive your mailing address, we’ll send you the game.

Update: rooster1117 won by a landslide vote! Not only did he pick an incredibly unique car, but his obvious mechanical prowess really resonated with the staff. I’ve already sent you an email requesting your mailing address. Special mentions are in order for Sean and Kauza, both of whom had excellent entries. Stay tuned for more Gamer Limit contests every week, and thanks for entering!

We’re also still giving away Magic The Gathering for the Xbox Live Arcade, and Majesty 2, so hop to it!

1) The winner will be selected by the Gamer Limit Staff  (no staff allowed to enter).
2) You must register an account (we need to be able to find your email).
3) US Only – sorry!
4) The contest will officially end at 6:30 PM EST, 9/28/08.
5) Gamer Limit is not responsible for the USPS delivery after we ship it to you.
6) Xbox 360 only.

  1. A 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback in Candy Apple red with White Stripes down the center. It must have the shiniest Chrome known to man and the smoothest beige leather interior. Why? Because Mustangs are pure, hot, unadulterated sexiness in vehicular form.

My favorite car on the planet is the Bertone Mantide. You guys might not have heard of it, but it’s a BEAUTIFUL car that was admittedly inspired by Kaneda’s iconic motorcycle from the classic anime, Akira.

  3. Has to be the new Nissan GT-R. Just a beautiful car from head to toe that screams power and style from the shape of its body. It doesn’t even need to be in motion: just by looking at the ride alone, it feels like it’s whipping around the track at 180 mph. But what makes it great is that it gives off a sense of power without being too overdone. There’s no giant tailfin, no slanted down front end or engine sticking from the hood. All is contained inside that silver shell, waiting to burst forth and destroy the asphalt. It is the modern muscle car.

  4. 1991 Acura Integra, slap on a 4 inch exhaust with a cold air intake and drop it almost all the way down to the ground and you have a descently fast car for not only cheap but its fun to drive and with the car being low and wide catches good traction. Best car I ever had, red with a sunroof that never leaked. I miss my car…

  5. CAR PORN:

Growing up, I remember the bedrooms of my friends, plastered in images of Pamela Anderson and other milfs-to-be. But there was only one pin-up worthy of my pre-pubescent walls. Her erotic, exotic curves and body as smooth as liquid silk were enough to drive any 10 year old wild. I am, of course, talking about the Lamborghini Diablo – every boy’s wildest fantasy! Nothing short of an icon of my youth, the Diablo set the benchmark for all supercars to come, leaving the Ferrari standing in a cloud of its 6-litre dust, like an obsolete Lada. In satanic black, bold yellow or even the plush purple, this epic masterpiece was candy for the eyes, with or without that iconic flash down the side. And those doors – those incredible doors that cast aside all convention – they were like the breast implants of the motoring world, cheating its way to aesthetic perfection, allowing her lucky driver to slide in as effortlessly as she went oh so fast!

    I know I can’t enter this, but I couldn’t resist having my say :)

  6. If you are going to race a dream, the Bugatti Veyron is the car. Nothing matches the W16 engine and it’s near 1000bhp. Super car styling always has that kid with a lump of clay madness to it and the Veyron fits that mold with a little extra.

The look is both intimidating and fluid with a streamlined shape to increase downforce. For those engineering marvel lovers just consider the effort it would took to put 1000 horsepower into a passenger car! Not to mention the hydraulic oil radiator just for the spoiler.

    1989 Mercedes 560SEL.

  8. I’d like to be driving my 1978 Chevy Monte Carlo again. I loved that car, so much. The rusted hood and the seized windshield wiper motor, not so much.

  9. The Mclaren F1
For the longest time it was the worlds fastest supercar.

It has three seats. The driver sits in the middle with a chick on either side!

What more would you want in a supercar?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLaren_F1

  10. The Lamborghini Reventón

the most new/expensive Lamborghini and only 20 made for the public (which sadly means I’ll never ever in my life get one ;~;) costs around 1.5mil and is designed after a damn jet. It’s actual specs aren’t really worth the price but aesthetically the car is what I want in a car.

  11. Personally, I’d have to rock the DeLorean DMC-12.

It has always been my density (sic) to own one of these. If I had one I’d totally pimp it out: put it on some 22′s, get some spinners, a nice spoiler, and drop a flux capacitor in the trunk. Being environmentally conscious, I would of course have to get the hybrid model that runs on garbage; much more efficient that the original plutonium guzzler.

When I take this baby up to eighty-eight, you better believe it can beat any other car, hands down.

  12. avatar Tyler

    Audi R8

Seriously, Who wouldn’t want to drive an Audi R8? First of all it’s fast, beautiful looking and you can’t stop looking at it. Someday I will be able to own hopefully. :)

  13. All right, I’m going to go for something a little different here. My favorite? The ’05 Hyundai Elantra. My reason? It’s mine.

Seriously, it might sound simple, but it goes a long way. Basically, the car that I have is all that I really need. It’s simple, but I’ve done some awesome shit to it to make it do everything I need. I tossed a nice Alpine stereo in there, put in an iPod hookup, and got a backup iPod from a friend that I keep in the car at all times. There’s nothing like having 2000 songs on shuffle in your car at all times.

And, hell, it’s comfy, it has a kickass warranty, it’s got good styling, it’s not a magnet for thefts, and I’ve never had any major problems with it. At all.

Are there a bunch of fancier cars out there that I’d rather have? Sure. But in this moment, I can’t say that I like any car more than my own.

  14. 1967 Chevy Impala. Its a great iconic car nothing fancy about it and thats what i love. Its purely and simply put one of the best production car of all time. Its trunk has enough room in it to fit 4 bodies comfortably, with room for your two-four. The great rush you get form simply starting it up makes your spine tingle. It looks so stunningly beautiful with its boxy yet curvy stylings its truly a great looking sounding and preforming car. Also what makes its my personal favorite car of all time is the fact that you don’t need to be a millionaire to get one, just to afford the gas.

  15. I’m gonna go with Kauza here, my favorite car is the car I currently own: My lovely 1999 BMW 318Ti. Being a hatchback, it’s one of the smallest BMWs ever made. They are also somewhat rare because they didn’t sell very well in the states. But trust me, anyone who owns or even just drives a Ti immediately falls in love. It has better handling than any other e36 besides the M3 and it’s improved even more if you get the M suspension from factory (which I have). On top of that, the 1.9 litre, inline 4 cylinder, m44 engine is bulletproof. It’s a true gas-sipper that still delivers good power when you mash the gas.

I bought the car in 2004 for 11.5 thousand dollars (it was worth 18k, thanks ebay!) and it will likely be my daily driver for at least the next decade. Afterwards I plan on babying it and making it my Sunday driver.

In addition to the M-kit I mentioned above (which includes the suspension upgrade, front and rear M bumpers and a three spoke steering wheel) my car also has the exceedingly rare “california sunroof” which is a 3-fold cloth sunroof which essentially covers the whole roof. It really makes the car what it is. I’ll try to post a picture of the sunroof because it really is amazing. It gives the car the feel of a convertible with the rigidity of a car with a metal roof.

Even if I don’t win this contest, I know that my car is awesome and the perfect car for me. (I do hope I win though =D)

  16. 1982 Toyota Landcruiser.
http://www.crushersrule.com/images/dkred_cruise_lg.jpg (not actual one, very similar)

My dad bought this thing 2 years before I was born, and it was a beast. He put this huge steel bumper on the front that could tear through anything. Put a winch on as well juist in case. Diesel engine, five speed, 4 X 4, perfect for rippin through the back country. We used to take out out hunting almost all year round, bringing back bucks, birds, and whatever else was in season.

My sixteenth b-day, my dad passed on this legacy to me, big mistake. I would pile a bunch of my friends in her, and destroy the wilderness. One day I got off work at 2am and was gonna head to a buddies place for some party time. I get there and he tells me to park underground, so I do. As I’m going down, at the last moment i look up at the huge concrete, yellow height restriction bar and realize im a little too big for this. First reaction; gun it, make it half way through… cant go forward or back. Get out and look, roof rack mangled, actual roof dented to sh*t, 2am and I’m freaking out. First off let me point out that this is the stupidest situation i’ve ever gotten into. I grab the winch cable and wrap it around a concrete pillar and pull her into the parkade, turn her around and do the same to get out, roof is practically gone. Long story short, went home and took sh*t from pops, had to drive it around like that for awhile, sold it for 2 g’s somehow. I loved that thing, don’t make em’ like they used to. :(

  17. The Lamborghini Reventón is a mid-engined sports car that debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. It ranks as the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini road car to date, costing one million euros (US$1.5 million). The official press release stated that only 20 vehicles would be released to the public, with one additional car (marked as 0/20) produced for the Lamborghini Museum. Although early rumours indicated the total number would actually be 100, each Reventón is clearly stamped with its number in the sequence of 20 between the driver’s and passenger’s seats. According to the official press release, the Reventón exterior styling was inspired by the “the fastest airplanes”. To emphasize this, Lamborghini staged a race between a Reventón and a Panavia Tornado fighter plane.

The Reventón is named after a fighting bull in keeping with Lamborghini tradition. The bull, raised by the don Heriberto Rodríguez family, was best known for killing famed bullfighter Félix Guzmán in 1943. Reventón means “explosion” or “burst” in Spanish.

The Reventón’s engine was a slightly tuned version of the Murciélago LP640′s 6.5 L V-12, rated at 640 hp (480 kW). According to the official release, the Reventón accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in the same time as the Murciélago LP640 (3.4 seconds), and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of over 340 km/h (210 mph). Using the internal speedometer, the recorded top speed was displayed as 356 km/h (221 mph).

Sorry if this seems like a wall of text!

Also this is 5 minutes late but I ran to the coffee shop as fast as I could…

  18. ddak88 copy/pasted his entry from the Wikipedia article on the Reventon…

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Revent%C3%B3n

  19. I kill you!…anyways Sean…It isn’t really a copy and paste. And you really didn’t know my situation; I had all of a few minutes to put it together. I’d also like to point out that there were no rules against copy and pasting and how I didn’t simply copy and paste an article I picked well structured sentences describing the car and put them together along with a few edits…anyways I lost ok?

  20. Congrats Rooster – great car by the way, definitely one of my alltime favorites.

  21. Congrats rooster!

    @ddak88

No hard feelings homie, all is fair in love and war!

  22. I would have gone with the DeLorean or a Chevy Lebaron, but I guess the Bugatti Veyron is a nice one too.

Good morning BrendanI am woikrng as a Supporting Actor with one payslip away from joining Equity. I am starting at the bottom but as soon as I get the card’ I will be looking for small parts to start with. I know with SA its what is asked for but what annoys me is that after joining the Agency, how when I go on an assignment, people have not joined or signed a contract and paid to have photo’s done and yet they get constant work and I have done this thinking I would not get work. Not only is it unfair, but puts me in a position where I feel if I complain, I will be putting myself in a bad position which is why I have not. I have read your book which is great and I noticed that I have already do the some of things you talk about naturally. Thank you for that xx I am not yet an Actor and have only gained the B-Tec National with 16 Distinctions, 8 Merits and one pass. I have not been in a position to take up the work until now some time after my B-tec. I joined a local theatre and was totally ingnored as they are a click’ even after reading for every play, woikrng as a lighting tech, painting sceans etc. I gave it my best and currently looking for another theatre to join. (Brush myself off and start again)! I live outside of London but was about to join an Agency there as well as where I live, but at this time, its the cost. The reason for this is how to get work on other projects like Downtown Abby etc. I know I have probably answered my own questions but it is good to talk. With kindest regardsThe old fossil
