After several months of uncertainty, Apple has finally announced that the Commodore 64 emulator app has been accepted for release.

Manomio’s program was originally rejected by Apple because it “launched other executable code”, but now Apple Insider has reported that the app is official, and you can pick it up at the App Store now for US$5.99.

When you purchase up the C64 app, you will also receive copies of Arctic Shipwreck, Jupiter Lander, Jack Attack, and Dragons Den.

  1. The iPhone can go so many places as a gaming platform, I’m really excited to monitor its growth as it gets older.

  2. The app has now been taken down due to problems with the BASIC emulator. Devs are working on a fix and hope to have it up and running soon.

I’d still rather emulate on a pc than that horrible touch screen.

MMS requires acescs to the baseband which the SDK does not allow.Video recording is being done by both uShow and iPhone View Recorder. As for other stuff (copy/paste, Bluetooth, MMS, etc.), only Apple is allowed to do that but they can all be done with a firmware update.
