I may not know too much about the world of hockey, nor the inner dealings or turmoils of being a fan of one of the NHL teams (I’m still hoping to get drafted into the Monroeville Zombies) but one thing that is clear about this title is it is made by people with a serious passion for hockey. Read on to find out whether this title is on the Wayne…Gretzky. Bad pun? Care to find out whether this title is skating on thin ice?

Oh, just read the review already. Read more… »

Some of you may remember the story of the Australian LFD campaign designer who felt a little left out that he wasn’t flown to Seattle along with the other L4D2 boycotters.

The story goes that he emailed Gabe (Newell), and, as a joke seemingly, Gabe agreed to meet him if he paid for them to fly out. Generally, most gamers would relish that the email was even replied to and move on. Except, well, “Joe” took him up on his offer and raised the $3000.

Did Gabe call his bluff?

Intergalactic Crime Fighting 101

With the October 27th release of Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time quickly approaching, those zany kids up at Insomniac have the game’s marketing campaign in full swing.  Their most recent video comes in the form of a public service announcement, whose purpose is to teach the hero in all of us how to spot a super villain.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I like to think that I’m well versed in spotting evil maniacal overlords.  Typically their biggest giveaway is that they have some overly ambitious plan to take over the world.  Of course there is also the deep evil sounding laugh that always seems to echo just the right amount.

Don’t take my word for it though.  Hit the jump to see this new video yourself and discover how to spot a super villain in Ratchet and Clank Future: CiT. Read more… »
