Today developer Valve announced a new batch of DLC for its zombie shooter Left 4 Dead.

Dubbed the “Crash Course” DLC, the pack will add a new campaign, named Crash Course, and several new Survival mode levels. Valve stated that gamers can expect, “New locations, new dialogue from the original cast, and an explosive finale.”

According to Valve, “The primary goal of ‘Crash’ is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game’s existing Versus campaigns. A recharge timer for infected teammates has also been added, and item spawn behavior has changed for more balanced gameplay.”

The downloadable add-on will arrive on both the PC and Xbox 360 sometime this September. Xbox gamers are going to have to drop 560 Microsoft Points ($7), where as PC gamers get it for free.

  1. Well I guess it’s time to digitally dust off my copy of L4D, because I definitely want to play this!

  2. Free? as in it costs me no money? Like nothing?

    That’s pretty nice of them.

  3. That’s the benefit of using Steam :)

  4. GamerLimit L4D night anyone?

  5. wow… I guess nerd rage really does work wonders. That’s a bit odd though that 360 users have to pay whereas PC people get it for free. Anyhow, as long as I don’t have to pay, I’m totally cool with it.

  6. @Grahame – Add your name to the L4D night on the forums
@Curtis – Microsoft is in charge of setting the price for stuff on XBLM
Granted, I’m not positive that is the case here.
