Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

Hideo Kojima wants to make sure you know that the new Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker game for the PSP is all about co-op gameplay.  To drive the point home, he has released a new 9 minute trailer featuring nothing but multiple Snakes all working together.  Filled with plenty of Kojima style humor, this new footage definitely demonstrates multiple ways that people will be able to work in teams to sneak around the environment and defeat enemies.

This really is a must see trailer, so hit the jump to view it and discover why you need to own a PSP and this game. Read more… »

R&CF

Every time I see a new trailer from those crazy guys at Insomniac for Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, I think I’m watching a Pixar movie.  They really go out of their way to put a lot of humor, emotion, and story into every game in the series, and this most recent addition doesn’t look any different.  Hot off the heels of the last story trailer comes this new one which highlights Clank and his role in the new sequel.  From the looks of it he appears to be playing a much bigger part then usual.

Goozex Now Trading Movies

Goozex

Anything that facilitates cheaper gaming is a good thing in my book, so I’m glad to see that the humble and all-too-uncelebrated game-trading site Goozex is growing by the day. In fact, as of this week, they are now dipping their sticky fingers into the blockbuster pie and are trading in movies, too.

Having traded almost 1000 films within the first week, and with 6000 titles available, this slice of pie must already smell like success.

MassEffect2

BioWare continues to trickle out new information about Mass Effect 2 as we get closer and closer to its early 2010 release date.  This latest update comes in the form of teaser trailer which introduces a new location from the game, Omega, and a new character, Grunt.  Omega is essentially the “Sin City” of the universe, while Grunt is a “reckless, unpredictable, and irrationally violent” Krogan who’s out for blood.  Both look like they go perfectly with the new darker tone the game is aiming for.

Hit the jump to view this new trailer and decide for yourself if there has ever been a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Read more… »

Uncharted2

Naughty Dog has released a new trailer for their upcoming game, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, entitled “Fortune Favors”.  The title is a little misleading though, considering fortune does not seem to be favoring Drake in any of the footage shown in this video.  When he’s not getting shot at, he’s running from exploding cars, dangling from ledges with only one hand, or trying to save some girl from imminent doom.  Drake just can’t catch a break can he?

Hit the jump to watch this incredible trailer, and decide for yourself  if fortune favors the bold. Read more… »

Borderlands at Gamescom

Activision’s upcoming racer, Blur, just received a release date. No, it didn’t get pushed back ’til 2010. In fact, the chaotic thrill-ride racer has its sights on an early November date this year. Shaping up to be quite the different driving experience, Blur lets gamers drop mines, activate shields and blast opposing cars while they slalom their way to the finish line.

GTR 4

A new trailer for the forthcoming racing simulation Need For Speed: Shift (never thought I would say “simulation” and “Need For Speed” in the same breath) has been released, featuring the Laguna Seca track and even a tutorial on how to tackle this legendary course.

From what is shown from the trailer, it gets a thumbs up from me, but I will of course reserve any proper judgement until I have sampled the experience for myself.

You can view the trailer, along with a few new screenshots of the Nissan GTR Spec V, after the break.

Today developer Tripwire Interactive announced that it is planning a retail release of its co-op survival horror shooter, Killing Floor. Originally released on May 14 on Valve’s Steam service, the PC exclusive shooter will soon hit retailers with a $19.99 price tag.

For those of you who missed out, Killing Floor basically plays like Call of Duty: World At War‘s Nazi Zombie mode, only with more features. The game sends wave after wave of various zombie-like monsters, all with different abilities, strengths and weaknesses. Each round you survive, the more money you get to buy new weapons, armor and power-ups. Killing Floor also features a bullet time mode that automatically activates when you score a particularly gory kill, giving you a chance to sit back and appreciate your handy work. Read more… »
