Every Batman fan on the planet has been waiting for their caped messiah, waiting for an above average Batman game to finally come. While Batman: The Animated Series for the SNES was a winner in some fan’s eyes, it was really just a by-the-numbers platformer that didn’t strive to break the mold, and didn’t succeed in putting Batman games on the map.

But in August 2009, our time has finally arrived, compliments of Rocksteady’s development team. Arkham Aslyum reeks of production value: from the decision to cast many voice actors from the animated series along with other top shelf talent, to the penning of the Hollywood worthy script by acclaimed writer Paul Dini (Lost, Batman: The Animated Series), it would take a lot of effort to screw this one up. chinatown wars

The forthcoming PSP port of GTA: Chinatown Wars, which was previously available exclusively for the DS, will be available on October 20th on both UMD and PSN download, it has been announced today. A European release will follow shortly after, on October 23rd.

Will it be in 3d or sport the same 2d engine that graced the DS version in order to retain the spirit of the original, I ask myself?

ODST_Firefight

There’s no denying that Halo 3:ODST hasn’t mustered the same amount of hype that any of the other Halo games have had. Its understandable that what seems to be a simple campaign expansion pack without the Master Chief isn’t floating everyone’s boat.

Bungie’s latest ViDoc hosted by the Samuel-L-Jacksonesque Sarget Johnson gives us a taste of what might end up giving Halo 3:ODST some useful hype.

It’s basically common knowledge that Japan produces some of the more obscure material for television programs and advertising campaigns, and that it works. Sony seems to thrive on this left-of-center marketing, and have once again produced the goods for their upcoming PS3 Slim.

It’s probably the worst kept secret around lately, but the second (and possibly final) DLC, named “Pinnacle Station“, has quietly made its way onto the marketplace.

The achievements for this pack have been around for the last 5 days or so, thus many expected the DLC to follow shortly after. In any case, Pinnacle transports you to a top secret alliance space station, and pits you against a range of combat challenges, promising to 2-3 hours of brand new gameplay. All for the standard 400 points.
