It seems that as soon as The Conduit appeared on radar after being hyped up by IGN, that almost everyone knew about it. Initially bloggers and gamers alike touted it as the Wii’s Halo killer, but nothing could be confirmed. Rumor after rumor passed by, pairing up High Voltage with this or that publisher. Even Nintendo of America was one of the rumored contenders.

The Conduit finally landed in SEGA’s court, and they handled the publishing of the game. It was a somewhat surprising pairing, but no body really blinked an eye after it was confirmed. You might be wondering how SEGA’s interest in The Conduit began, and why they decided to publish the game.

The Resident Evil series holds a special place in my heart. In fact, there aren’t too many series available that make me want every game in the anthology. And now, a third Resident Evil 4 is in my collection. The game that reinvented the Resident Evil series has made its way to the iPhone.

Although, after playing Doom Resurrection, I was less than excited about another shooter. With that being known, is this another failed iPhone shooter? Or does it provide a glimmer of hope for future shooters on the platform? Read more… »

Developed and published by Sakari Indie, Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood is a third-person shooter with a strong taste for total mayhem.  Don’t be thrown off by the cartoon-style graphics, because it’s less than a cute little game; it’s a puppy waiting to tear your hand off.

Not only that, but the title went from start to finish within only a few months. With that being known, are the faults of a short developmental period evident or does it prevail like our last little hero? Read more… »

Ushered to the world as an arcade game straight from the nooks and crannies of cinemas and many other arcade centers, Virtua Tennis was probably the first tennis game that worked as a whole. In its current form, Virtua Tennis 2009 (VT2009) is the finest tennis arcade console game money can buy.

There, I said it. Traversing through the next few paragraphs would probably be a great idea if you need an in-depth look at the game’s finer nuances, but taking that statement to heart as you run to your nearest GameStop wouldn’t be a bad idea either. Read more… »

Piranha Bytes’ fantasy RPG Risen has been banned in the land of gold and green. The Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) deemed the adventure to be too explicit for Australia’s MA 15+ rating for videogames, thanks largely to the inclusion of sexual activities and drug use in conjunction with ‘quests’ that are able to be triggered in-game.
