This piece of tidbit is one for the Aussies. Tim Cahill, the Socceroo’s ‘hero’ during the last World Cup, has been enlisted to become a FIFA 10 cover athlete. He’s not the only man fronting for the job though, as fellow English Premier League (EPL) player Wayne Rooney will be alongside Cahill for the gig.

The following is a statement we received from EA’s Australian division earlier today:
Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today unveiled the Australian cover athletes for EA SPORTS™ FIFA 10. Everton FC midfielder and Australian champion, Tim Cahill will join Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney as the faces of FIFA 10 on each available platform— the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, Wii™, PC, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Nintendo DS™, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system and mobile.

This sucks so much. I was hoping for a cover with Theo Walcott and instead I get someone whos been on it for 5 yrs and a stupid player whos wearing that ugly everton kit
calm down Julius, Tim Cahill is a hero in Australia, and if you are a true australian then you would understand, why would you want Theo Walcott> He isnt even a reknowed player in the world yet, Cahill is an amazing player and has done it on the biggest stage of all the world cup, as for Rooney, i would much rather someone else, as rooney is an ex-evertonian, as for the kit, it is your opinion but for me when it is up close (as i have one) i think it doesnt look so bad, overall i think it is a good cover and finally Australia have theri own cover.
well I must say its about time they got someone besides Ronaldinho on the cover. Though I would prefer almost anyone over Rooney. If I was in a shop looking for a game and knew nothing bout the fifa or pes games, Torres and Messi is looking alot better than Rooney and Cahill. Thankfully the game is going to be alot better than the cover =]
Wow EA finally learnt australians want australians on there covers. I would have preferred two Aussies, but we can’t have it all. Instead of Rooney should have been Fernando Torres.

cahill is a great player! :] yes it will work on your english xbox i have one and it works! its a great game and i got mine early because my uncle works at EA in america he sent it over as a belated birthday gift. overall its an amazing game! BUY IT
