Remember when I posted a news story about Alan Wake not showing up on the PC till after the Xbox 360 release? Well today developer Remedy issued a formal statement about the PC version of Alan Wake.
The statement reads: “It is accurate that we are currently working exclusively on the Xbox360 version of Alan Wake. PC plans are currently open, and therefore it’s safe to say that at least a simultaneous launch with the Xbox version will not happen at this late stage. Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and would love to see a PC version available to its PC followers, ultimately however this decision lies with our publisher.” Read more… »

The iPhone is usually seen as the wild, crazy new device to play games on. Its accelerometer and touch screen control options make it a very exciting platform to cover and to develop for. ASCIIpOrtal, the demake of Valve’s rabidly successful Portal is slowly getting closer to release, with last week new gameplay footage and commentary releasing onto the tubes by the dev.
For the uninitiated, ASCIIpOrtal is, as it’s name implies, an ASCII version of Portal. All the graphics are displayed using ASCII (think back to the early DOS era of games).

Yet another Overgrowth tech demo video was released yesterday, and as with each incantation it becomes more and more impressive. Check it out after the jump.
