It seem another game has fallen victim to the delayed monster. This time it’s Airtight Games’ Dark Void that has been pushed back.

Originally set to arrive at the end of September, the jet pack fueled third-person shooter is now slated to hit sometime between January 1 and March 31, 2010.

Why was Dark Void delayed? According to publisher Capcom, it was “to avoid competition with releases of major titles of other companies.” I’m not sure if I should interpret this as Capcom lacking faith in the game or just a smart business decision.

Dark Void is currently in development for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

  1. At first I was happy when I started to see a couple of big name titles get pushed from the Holiday 2009 schedule to early 2010. Now however, it seems like too many titles are getting pushed to early 2010. I just can’t win can I.

  2. Honestly I’m glad the games are being spaced out a bit more. I still have some big titles with plastic on them and a few titles I’d like to pick up but haven’t yet.

I wish the developers would form together and release games at a stagger more, giving gamers a month between games…but that’s my dreams :P

  3. Damn, this is sad news. By the time COD:MW2 finally drops, its going to have the holiday all to itself.

Lost my trust for Capcom ever since the rise of Disc Locked Content and the recent xbox 360 exciuslve features with Resident Evils. Earlier RE6 demo, Exclusive game mode. And they said it was bussines decision . Trying to get western fans but F****** up the loyal fans since the very first RE.Still RE6 looks amazing so I’m getting it. But if there are Disc Locked Content, I will probably wait for cheap used ones.VN:R_U [1.9.15_1155](from 3 votes)
