Magic: the Gathering is one of those games you hate to love. At any one given moment you will be loving the game, at the top of the world, destroying all decks that come your way, and then a split second later you will be hating life, rationally contemplating setting fire to your deck and throwing your opponents out the window.

Today publisher Bethesda Softworks announced that Artificial Mind and Movement’s third-person action title WET will hit North America on September 15.
Developed for the Xbox 360 and PS3, WET puts gamers into the shoes of acrobatic assassin Rubi Malone as she hunts down an employer who betrayed her.

Whilst most people agree that Sony should consider dropping the price of the PlayStation 3, it is also widely reported that the manufacturing cost always meant a high retail price was required for the company to make any profit whatsoever on the system.

Only in recent years has EA Sports faced any stiff competition in the way of sporting titles. 2K has found great success in its annual NBA, NHL, and MLB titles, while Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer successfully dominated the football genre for the better part of this decade.

I remember about a year ago, I was sitting down at home watching television when a program about professional gamers came on. At the time I was in my last semester at university, working part-time and not at all looking forward to the prospect of having to enter the big bad world of a full-time career. I didn’t exactly know what I wanted to do then; I guess you could say that I was at an impasse as to how my life would proceed. And I was scared.
This documentary came on and I decided to watch it, even though I was extremely jealous at the prospect of these kids getting to play video games professionally – and getting paid for it. However, this film, which was based around the KeSPA (Korean e-Sports Players Association) professionals, completely blew my mind. There was little to no enjoyment for these kids at all.
James Larsson may be as close as the world comes to a mad scientist. This British inventor has created automatic cat food dispensers (not devious), light bulb-testing devices (still not bad), and a machine that whips you when you lose a point in Pong.

This week on PSN, Fat Princess finally hobbles onto the store, along with a demo of Numbblast and the second episode of The Watchman episodic content in tow. It’s not the heaviest update we’ve ever seen, but I’m sure you can’t wait to pack on the pounds with the tactical treat that is Fat Princess.
