A contraption of a beast unveiled in 2007 has just been polished and gift wrapped to the public. The Novint Falcon is a 3D mouse that delivers a  new interactive experience, which keep in mind a player’s surrounding.

When the user fires the rubber pistol grip, the Falcon will recoil depending on the weapon used.  A shotgun will inflict a  forceful recoil, while a M4 will deliver a series of quick bursts.

force feedback that lets you feel the texture, shape, and weight of the virtual environment. With the detachable grip (standard or pistol) and the latest in touch technology, the Falcon lets players interact with the game in a much more realistic way.

The Falcon comes standard with a pistol grip, which allows players to fine tune their FPS skills.  Aside from that, Novint plans to release various types of grips that will cater to a broader spectrum of games.  Maybe we can count on a racing wheel?

So, what games can I play with this awesome piece of technology?

In a press release, Novint announced itself teaming up with Valve, who will be releasing updates for its famous Orange Box.  Players can play Half-Life 2: Episode 1 & 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2. Not to mention, support for Left 4 Dead is on its way.  Awesome, now when I play TF2, I can throw jars up pee at players and feel a nice splashing motion.  Thanks Novint.

Novint Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: NVNT), the pioneer of 3D touch for consumer computing, and Valve Corporation, one of the video game industry’s leading entertainment software and technology companies, announced today that they have entered a strategic agreement to add Falcon support to a number of Valve’s games.

The Falcon is open for purchase and will set you back a whopping $149.00.
