It looks like the hardcore Grand Theft Auto fans that only stay loyal to the Playstation brand will have their opprotunity to break into cars, steal/sell drugs, and just shoot even more people than before.

Let’s face it, Chinatown Wars is still one of the highest rated games on the Nintendo DS, but it only sold around 89,000 copies of the game. Can you blame Sony for wanting to try that again?

Here’s what Jack Tretton, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America had to say…

“Rockstar’s work with the GTA series has been an enormous part of the success of PlayStation platforms. We’re excited to welcome the critically acclaimed Chinatown Wars to the outstanding line-up of great games headed to the PSP platform this fall.”

It sure will be interesting to see if it sells better on the PSP…if it does? Yeah…

Grant Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars will be available this fall on UMD and as a digital download from the Playstation Network for the PSP Go!

  1. I dunno. The DS version was so fun because of the stylus. I don’t know how they plan on implementing those features without it. I’m curious to see how they’re going to pull this off. Might just call for another go around after i get through FFVII and Dissidia this summer…

  2. This is good news for PSP owners like myself. I enjoyed Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories before, so this should be interesting. Presumably it will take on a 3d engine like the titles before it.

    Monster fail.

Chinatown Wars on PSP, by the simple fact that it’s on PSP, simply cannot have all the elements that made CW so fantastic on DS.
