Episode 3 of the always enjoyable Starcraft 2 Battle Report has been leaked to the web, featuring a head to head match between Zerg and Protoss forces on a new map titled “Scrapyard”. The video is roughly 20 minues in length and includes some overly enthusiastic commentary by lead designer Dustin Browder, and e-Sports team member, Robert Simpson.

There has been a lot of confusion lately regarding the current state of the Xbox 360. Just a few weeks ago at E3, Microsoft announced that the console would have a life span stretching to 2015. Just the other day though, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced that there were plans in motion to introduce a new Xbox 360 in 2010. Apparently, it has been one giant mix up.

Whoa there! We thought Mass Effect was all but a dead horse, but it looks like Bioware might be trying to squeeze in a little bit more revenue from the first adventure of our spaced-out team of warriors.

Here’s the skinny: Mass Effect was added to the Games on Demand listing for the Xbox 360, and promptly pulled. For the few moments it was up there were some interesting tidbits of information that leaked out.

Boxart for Monster Hunter 3 (tri) has finally been shown; and it looks better than I expected it to. Not only that, but with the Black Nintendo Wii being released this Summer, the Japanese will also have the choice of buying it in a bundle with Monster Hunter 3. I consider myself quite the seasoned RPG veteran. Despite this, until earlier this year I hadn’t had the pleasure of indulging in a single game from the popular Suikoden series. I finally set out to remedy that back in March, when I started playing through the entire series. My ride has been a bumpy one, and although there were some good games, I’d say that I disliked the series overall. A big part of that is the way in which level-ups work.

This editorial is geared towards RPGs, but any game with RPG elements could benefit from thinking about the…well, the benefits of certain experience systems. So, I encourage you to think of your favorite experience systems while reading this editorial!
