It’s 2030. You’ve just downloaded the latest Call of Duty in moments via your wireless 10gig connection and you pick up the helmet and gloves belonging to your beloved games console. Don’t get me wrong, when I see an amazing gameplay video or hear about a sequel to one of my favourite games I tend to salivate, Pavlov’s dog style, at the mere thought of being able to experience a triple A title.

shift

A new trailer for EA’s forthcoming Need For Speed: Shift has been released. Along with providing a delicious glimpse into the game’s selection of car models, the real meat of the trailer comes from the reveal of the game’s potential unique selling point – your driver profile. On paper, it may not sound too earth shattering, but it is stated that this feature has true potential to shape the AI of the game, depending on your driving style.

Intriguing, but whether or not Need For Speed: Shift lives up to expectations remains to be seen, when you consider the franchise’s murky track record. The revealing trailer can be found after the break.
