I am the King of the Cosmos and as heir to the universe I want you to jump from planet to planet rolling a ball around.  Your goal is to collect as much loot as possible because this will surely save everything.  And one last thing, don’t forget to play the most eargasmic songs ever created.

Sound ridiculous?  Well this ‘ridiculous’ game is an extremely popular franchise for reasons I’ll never understand.

According to Destructoid.com, Katamari Forever will include a variety of new features.  Aside from growing your Katamari past a certain height, the game will feature a race mode where players are forced to collect as much as possible.

Also, a new co-operative experience will be availabe where players have to share an analog stick in order to achieve a common goal.  I guess sharing is caring, right?

I could never understand the death grip Katamari Damacy had on people, but dang, the music is one of a kind.

Katamari Forever is set to release in Japan July 23 for the Playstation 3, while a world release is yet to be determined.
