In an unsurprising move, it was reported today through an Activision investor call that the Guitar Hero franchise is making its debut onto the PSP (or should I now say PSP Go?).

Not that the genre is oversaturated or anything, but let’s just recap on the mountain of music orientated titles that can be found this year alone:

• Guitar Hero: Metallica
• Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits
• Guitar Hero: Van Halen
• Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits
• Guitar Hero 5
• Rock Band: Unplugged
• Rock Band: The Beatles
• Lego Rock Band
• DJ Hero
• Band Hero

Now that’s how to milk a bloated cash cow.

Thus far, the only new snippet of information is that it will feature a drum component. Stay tuned for tomorrows E3 conference whereby this new portable iteration of Guitar Hero is likely to be announced in greater detail.
