Some tantalizing screen shots of Codemaster’s upcoming F1 2010 have arisen from the Japan based video game magazine Famitsu, and, as expected, they look fantastic even at this early stage.
Check out the screenshots after the break.

F1 2010 is the sequel to F1 2009, which is also due out later this year on Wii and PSP, and marks Codemaster’s first venture into Formula One since they secured the exclusive rights to the franchise last year. Codemasters are renowned for producing high quality racing titles such as DIRT and GRID, so their sudden jump into the world of Formula One is guaranteed to lead to some high expectations. Mercifully, the screen shots are reportedly derived from Codemaster’s EGO engine, the same graphics technology that powered the aforementioned GRID and DIRT games.

F1 2010 is due to race off the starting line some time next year.

Looks lovely, shame over two thirds of the current teams will be racing in their own series next season. lol
I wonder what will happen if F1 breaks up before the games release
@Andrew
Hopefully, GT5 will have F1 cars in it, like their previous titles.
These look less like screenshots, and more like concept art – which makes me want to call shenanigans on Codemasters.
Yea, I’ve got to agree with Josh, these are beautiful, but they don’t look in-game in the slightest.
Yes, I was thinking this shortly after I submitted it. It does appear to be concept art.
