It’s always sad when decent games are selling poorly, but even sadder when bad games are breaking the bank.
According to Gamasutra, via the NPD group, from the Bionic Commando‘s release date May 19th, until the end of May it sold a meager 27,000 (PS3 and Xbox total) units. This is in contrast to Terminator Salvation, which sold 43,000 units in the same period.
Gamasutra writes regarding Grin, the studio responsibile for developing Bionic Commando:
“The studio is rumored to have laid off a significant amount of employees in recent weeks, although the studio has yet to officially confirm”.
I doubt the people behind Grin are living up their name this month.
