With Bad Company a distant memory, and Battlefield 1943 coming at the end of this month it is no surprise that no one has really been thinking about a new, full-fledged iteration of the Battlefield series.

The Chief Cook anf Bottlewasher of Activision, John Pleasants, revealed this bit of news at a stock holders meeting: “I’ve had the luxury of looking at Battlefield 3 over at DICE in Sweden and was highly impressed by the way the team is working on that product,” he said. “Of course, that’s not [coming out] in the fiscal year, but that is a product that is looking very good.”

There is a lot of Battlefield in development right now, and DICE is really on a roll. With 1943 around the corner and Bad Company 2 on the horizon, there are a lot of things to shoot!
