We’re still worried about people falling off of their skateboards without wheels and hurting themselves, but come what may, Tony Hawk’s Ride is real. The first bit of news after the big reveal is the fact that in Europe Ride will only be available on the Xbox 360.
We do not know whether or not it is a proper exclusive, but one thing that we do know at this stage that the deal only applies to the UK. This means that if you’re anywhere else in Europe you will be able to get it on the competing consoles. Rumors continue to flail about as to whether or not it will be available on the Playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii. We’ll let you know.
(Update) An spokesperson from Activision said, “Further to the erroneous information which was distributed this morning regarding Tony Hawk: Ride, we would like to clarify that the game is due to be released on the following platforms: Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Wii home video game system.” (Thanks to KoleslawSG for the tip!)

The plot thickens!
This maze of insanity, multiplatform buggery and console-exclusive tomthuggery is turning the video game industry into a laughable soap opera – a complete joke, I say.
If this game doesn’t arrive in the UK, regardless of whether or not I would have even thought about buying it, I’m going to go over to the Thames South Bank and throw some skaters in the river.
Don’t worry. It’s coming to all platforms.

It was nothing but a rumour.
So don’t worry, be happy.
