In the latest issue of Famitsu Weekly, Idea Factory has revealed Trinity Universe, a crossover RPG, will be coming exclusivity to the PlayStation 3. It will feature characters from Nippon Ichi’s Disgaea and Gust’s Atelier, all presented in 3D. For the first time, you’ll see Etna and the prinnies as non-sprite characters.

The game’s story will be divided into two scenarios: a goddess side and a demon lord side. Both stories are linked by a common threat – gigantic space debris hovering over the galaxy.
Players will have to destroy the space debris by exploring on it and destroying its gravitational field. Trinity Universe uses an action point-based system where the player’s turn will last until AP runs out.
Since Etna is included, this is a must buy for me. Trinity Universe will be out this August in Japan, while a North American release is yet to be announced. If you can’t wait for this crossover RPG, Cross Edge is just around the corner to keep you occupied.
