LucasArts continue to bridge the many gaps within the Star Wars universe, via various mediums. Arguably, these gaps don’t need filling, but filled they are nonetheless. Their latest adventure, Star Wars Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, takes its style from the Clone Wars cartoon series, and promises two-player coop action.
Taking control of a range of characters – from Jedi to clone troopers, Anakin Skywalker to Clone Captain Rex – players will be thwarting a “mysterious techno assassin’s destructive plot” over more than thirty missions.
“The Clone Wars franchise has struck a chord with viewers and gamers around the world with its action-packed storyline and memorable heroes,” said Darrell Rodriguez, president of LucasArts. “With its Jedi and Clone Trooper gameplay and all-new storyline, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes takes the franchise into a truly exciting and interactive direction.”
The hole being plugged this time happens to be between season one and two of the animated series, just in case you were wondering what was left.
Expect the title this September on DS, PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360.
