Flying, laser eyes, weather control, telepathy, magnetic manipulation.  These are just a few of the abilities that mutants of the X-Men universe possess.  Each is more fantastical than the last, but not every X-Men has flashy powers.  In fact, one mutant I know of is nothing more than a walking blob of Jell-O, absorbing bullets and self repairing injuries effortlessly.  What’s more, inside that infallible husk of flesh is a skeleton the same as yours and mine, only it’s made of the hardest stuff on earth; adamantium.  Wolverine’s durability isn’t exactly the most glamorous super power, but it isn’t his mutant condition that sets him apart from all others.  It’s his unabated rage. Death defying antics? Leaps across wide canyons? Breaking apart enemies with a whip? Your hat snapping onto your head? Yeah! Sounds like Lego Indiana Jones to me. While the first was delegated to a pack-in for the Xbox 360, it seemed to have received wide praise across all platforms.

The bricked up Dr. Jones is at it again, with a brand new adventure. According to Activision and TellTale, the game will hit later this year with a new “hook”. This instance of Lego Indy is to include user created levels. It will be available for the DS, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PS3. Hit the jump for the PR.

Arkham Asylum would’ve just been releasing in a few days if it were not for the delay into Q3. If you haven’t taken a look at the game, there is little to no doubt that it will be well worth the wait. Read more… »

marvelcharacters2

Let me just get this out of the way now: one of us here at GamerLimit is a major Marvel fanboy. He owns figurines, owns all of the DVDs, and has seen almost every Marvel motion picture at a midnight release. There is no reason for him not to be excited about Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

In this second installment civil war has broken out among the heroes and villains of the Marvel universe. Iron Man and Captain America fighting? Dead Pool and Juggernaut working together? Sounds interesting…

traumateam_screens_diagnostician2

Hot of the heels of their announcement of Hospital, a true sequel in the “Trauma” series has been announced. Players can play as a general surgeon, diagnostician, E.M.T., orthopedic surgeon, endoscope technician and medical examiner. It almost sounds like they’re releasing two games that are exactly the same. The more blood and bile the better, right?

Has surgery ever been so fun before? Expect a full reveal trailer at E3, and enjoy the press release and screen shots after the jump! Read more… »

Perhaps due to their recent acquisition by Square Enix, Eidos just does not have a whole lot to offer at this time. The highly anticipated Batman Arkham Asylum will be there along with Just Cause 2 and Mini Ninjas! What, no Tomb Raider this year?

With all the hype surrounding the latest adventure of Bruce Wayne in a bat suit, I’m certain they’ll still have a great showing. Press Release after the break.

battlefield1943

When Battlefield 1943 his the digital shelves sometime later this month, it is going to come with a very unique feature build in to encourage gameplay. EA issued a community challenge that, when unlocked, will reveal a fourth and final map for the game: Coral Sea. The challenge? Achieving forty-three million kills on Xbox LIVE and PSN.

The new Coral Sea map will be an air superiority map, and therefore “airplanes only”. Dieing for more? Check out the press release and then just anticipate this game like the rest of us: with a lot of drooling.

In my younger years as a gamer, E3 was not the biggest place to learn about Nintendo. It was their annual Spaceworld event. It was here that they would reveal many of their new consoles, handhelds, and major game releases. It is being rumored that some sort of big event, not exactly Spaceworld is going to happen again.

The creatures of the highly praised Oblivion and Fallout 3 are expanding their role as a game creator, and publisher. It has been rumored for quite some time that Splash Damage is working on a first-person shooter. Everybody’s Super Sonic Racing! Try to keep your feet right on the ground. When you’re Super Sonic Racing there’s no time to look around! We’re just Super Sonic Racing! Running to the point of no return…”

Wait, what? This isn’t a sequel to Sonic R? Sort of is? ….What, Mario Kart? Oh, I get it. You mean it is like Mario Kart. Well, for Sonic enthusiasts hoping that the blue blur was going to get back into racing old school style, go ahead and be absolutely dissapointed. At least there is a trailer for the brand new Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, right?

dantes-inferno

With all the fuss regarding the premise of Dante’s Inferno (the video game, not the amazing poem, so stop freaking out you historians, poets and poetry lovers!), it was always going to be interesting to see whether the game woud actually shape up to be worth it. While this trailer is pretty short and the content is nice to look at, one can’t help but wonder just how gripping and deep the title is going to turn out. This all looks a little too humorous to me. Hit the jump to check it out.

NSFW Warning: Giant tits are involved.
