Have you noticed? As we draw closer towards E3 the news has slowly began to drop off. That means we have a little bit of time to game, and a little bit of time to prepare. Don’t want to leave you, the reader, completely without something to do! That’s why I present to you one of the latest remixes over at OCRemix, Zelda Heineken. This latest remix was made entirely with Heineken bottles.

Like a cruel game of Pass the Parcel – whereby everybody gets to tear away a sheet of wrapping paper, only to find yet another layer and the sinking feeling that there are a few more to come – Hideo Kojima’s teaser site‘s original countdown has expired, to reveal… another countdown?
This time, however, there are a few new symbols for us to get our heads around, including one that hints at the return of Solid Snake.

The bigger the title, the sooner the information begins to leak. In what will be a contender for the best game of 2009, we’re all excited for Modern Warfare 2 around here. Although the embedded trailer promises a full trailer on May 24th, this short sneak peak will have to do. Hit the jump for the goods, and how good it is!

Square-Enix has published a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days on Japan’s Nintendo Channel. It shows some cutscenes and gameplay footage including the cooperative multiplayer. To my surprise, I saw some familiar faces that were playable in the cooperative mode.

First Capcom is fearful of baconitis, now On Live is reeling from retail. That’s right, the future streaming video game service provider is claiming that E3 simply isn’t the right climate for them. On Live’s Mike McGarvey said, “More than anything, E3 is a retail-oriented conference, both for retail platforms and retail publishers, and OnLive is neither.” Does that mean On Live units won’t be purchased via retail? Make no mistake about it: Final Fantasy XII is an average game. But it’s a kind of average that most games can only dream of. It is spectacularly average, and could very easily have been an all-round superb experience if not for all the ways it went wrong.
Final Fantasy XII is the second traditional Final Fantasy Title to be produced for the Playstation 2. It is also the last. FFXII incorporates many features new to the franchise–most notable a real-time combat system–that has unjustly polarized fans. You either love it, or you hate it. The folks over at Electronic Arts have just released screen shots for G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra. This new Joe game is set to released around the same time as the movie. If you ever watched Batman And Robin and wondered whether you’d have gone ahead and kissed the deadly but sumptuous mouth of Uma Thurman’s Poison Ivy, you may just be about to do the same all over again. This time, she’s not quite real, but she certainly looks rather good all the same. If you are hoping to see more footage of the upcoming heavy metal action/adventure rockout that is Brutal Legend, you’re in the wrong place. The handheld games market has been invaded by the iPhone over the past year or so. No longer, it would seem, can gaming companies trust in the quality of a product without attempting to think outside the box, if only just a little.
According to “music industry sources” speaking with CNET.com, Sony could be about to launch a music download service for the PlayStation Portable.
