The Metroid Prime Trilogy has officially been announced for the Nintendo Wii. After almost a year of speculation, this announcement from Redmond, Washington comes as no surprise to fans of the series. This trilogy that follows the exploits of one bounty hunter, Samus Aran spanned two systems and almost a decade of time. It will now all be rolled onto one disk, ready for you.
The first and second games in the series will recieve a “New Play Control” makeover, being outfitted with the same motion-control as the final game in the trilogy. You will be able to unlock music, art assets, and interviews for completing objectives across all three games. Metroid Prime Trilogy will be available exclusively for Wii on Aug. 24 at a suggested retail price of $49.99.
