Vaporware. Perhaps it has finally happened. Duke Nukem is all out of bubble gum, and 3D Realms is all out of money. The creators of the Duke Nukem franchise are closing their doors on Friday and letting all of their employees go.

Although jokes about the game are humorous, it isn’t funny that anyone lost their jobs. Hopefully these game-makers can find greener pastures. The Duke Nukem Trilogy for DS and PSP will still see the light of day under another label, but it looks like Duke Nukem will have to live forever in our hearts…
[Updated statement by 3D Realms and Apogee's PR Firm:"Deep Silver and Apogee Software are not affected by the situation at 3D Realms. Development on the Duke Nukem Trilogy is continuing as planned."]
