Our very own Daniel Clancy is a major a fan of Killzone 2. I thought it best that he not have to report on this news that Halo 3 is actually outselling Killzone 2. Didn’t Halo 3 come out over two years ago? It is almost unbelievable that it is still selling that much per month. Hit the jump for the statistics.
Sales data from the latest NPD roundup gave some surprising statistics. Killzone 2 sold 58,000 units last month while Halo 3 sold “between 57,000 and 74,000 units.” It is not a huge difference, but why is a several year old game outselling what is supposed to be the Playstation 3 flagship first-person shooter? If you add up the totals, it has sold over 600k, and this does not include PAL territory sales. This does not change the fact that Killzone 2 is a good game, but perhaps it could’ve used a bit more marketing love.

Halo 3 came out in 2007….the 360 game out in 2005….

KZ2 has hit the million mark, so it’s doing just fine anyways. Halo 3 is a terrific game though.
Killzone 2′s better.
The number given for Halo 3 sales isn’t specific, and using other site’s sales data seems to contradict this. (VGchartz)
