Xbox Live’s Major Nelson announced today, starting in May, the above pictured Game of the Year Xbox 360 Elite bundle will be available in retail stores. This bundle contains everything a normal elite would, but Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda are being replaced by none other than Halo 3 and Fable 2. The retail price for the bundle will be a cool $399.99 which means that both games are being included at no additional cost.

Its hard to argue getting both Halo 3 and Fable 2 in a package with the 120gb Eilte, but fans in Europe won’t get to sink their teeth into it. According to Nelson’s post it’s the only region that is being excluded.
What do you guys think about Microsoft’s new bundle?

I feel really screwed over by Microsoft. I just bought an Elite a couple months ago.
Likewise…*sobs*
This is a fantastic business move on Microsoft’s part, as both Halo 3 and Fable II are among the “must-have” blockbuster titles that pretty much anyone that would drop the cash on an Elite would want to purchase anyway.
As far as I was aware, production on the Elite SKU was being drawn back, with Microsoft wanting it to appear as more of the limited edition SKU that it was originally supposed to be. Maybe they’ve gone back on that decision?
Wow. That does beat the hell out of Kung Fupa and Lego Indy. I’m jealous.
This might actually make me buy another Xbox instead of buying a PS3. I was thinking of buying a new gaming system anyways because I dont want to always share with my brother.
