Without doubt, one of the single greatest things about LittleBigPlanet was the narration from the legend that is Stephen Fry. OK, so it played a fantastic game, but that voiceover from Fry really gave the game that touch of character and class it needed to make it grade-A stuff. So, it’s with no small amount of glee that we can reveal that he has all but confirmed his role in the next installment, via his – yes, you guessed it - Twitter page.

In a typically short but sweet Tweet, Fry wrote:

Morning all. In studio today voicing 2nd edition of a video game. Will check when I’m there if I’m allowed to say what it is…”

While there is no confirmation of which title Fry is referring to, it is highly likely that it will be LittleBigPlanet PSP, which was announced earlier this year. Also, this is proof that it pays to be one of this man’s followers on Twitter.

UPDATE: He has now confirmed the rumor, stating (again on Twitter):

I’ve come to the end of a lush voice-athon and yes, am empowered to confess that it was for a new PSP version of Little Big Planet.”

WHOOOOP!

On the subject, why not follow Gamer Limit on Twitter here?

  1. Stephen Fry’s voice over work on Little Big Planet, helped make the game so much more, was a great move. Glad to see him possibly returning for the PSP version.

  2. I am tentative towards the PSP title (stop forcing games!) but if Mr. Fry is involved I can hope that it will be as stellar as the PS3 version.

  3. Yep, he’s confirmed it:
“STEPHEN FRY: I’ve come to the end of a lush voice-athon and yes, am empowered to confess that it was for a new PSP version of Little Big Planet.”
    Can’t wait for this!

  4. I can’t help but wonder if he plays these games. I wonder what his created level would be like?
