It’s official. As reported by numerous sources, it has been announced at a press conference in London that Fallout: Las Vegas is currently in production for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC (GFW).
The publisher, Bethesda, has also let it known that it will be working with Obsidian Entertainment on the new title, which will be “simular to how Fallout 3 is played”, but no details have been released as to its design, release date or gameplay features.
Besthesda’s Pete Hines also stated that the title is not a sequel to Fallout 3, rather a separate game in the franchise. It’s not known if there is any connection to any spinoff elements from Fallout 3.
As always, we will bring any new information forward as it is released.
Let’s hope that this doesn’t become the CSI of video games…
I didn’t play Fallout 3, but this sounds like quite a contrast… What si it with Las Vegas? I thought that you only went there if you wanted to drink in the streets in USA, spend all your money and get married by an Elvis Presley impersonator.
What is it with Vegas!?
I’m hopeful. Fallout 3 was fun enough, and Obsidian has proven themselves to be more than capable developers. It’ll be interesting to see what Vegas has become in this post-apocalyptic world.
I will buy it on the first day. Viva La Fallout!
Very interesting. It almost sounds like it’s DLC rather than a new title. I thought Bethesda said we would have to wait 10 years or something.
Nice, I know my brother will be buying this day one. I own Fallout 3 but I never really played it…I need to get into single player games!
