Just a couple days ago the boxart for the upcoming Ghostbusters game was revealed.  Now we’re treated to the first glimpses of the Wii version in action.  It’s kiddy, goofy, and looks entirely different from the 360/ PS3 version.  Fire up your proton pack and click the jump to check it out!

Seeing the cartoony versions of the classic Ghostbusters crew gave me flashbacks to the old Saturday morning cartoons that used to run.  Hearing the voice acting by the original actors is a real treat, too.  It sounds like they had as much fun recording it as I did listening to it.

Though this version seems to lack the nostalgic campiness of the 1980′s movies, it looks promising in a different way.  The Ghostbusters cartoons were always pretty darn enjoyable, and this game looks to be a spiritual predecessor to the goofy ghoulies that the crew hunted down in the Ecto 1 so many years ago.

They could both be great versions, even if in entirely different ways.
