"I swear they were a GIFT!!!!"

It has been reported that gaming icon Electronic Arts may have had the wrong idea for there promo pack that went along with their new release Godfather II. Instead of taking the traditional road and sending t-shirts, bags, or other assorted goodies, EA felt that sending illegal weapons with their new title fit well.

While it was sent with best intentions, some feel that while it may have relevance to the game, sending journalists a set of brass knuckles may have been a bit too much. Even though it was packaged with other goodies like a cigar, silk handkerchief, and book of matches, said additions don’t make you a criminal just by  possessing them.

Due to recent promo events in the UK (Resident Evil, Madworld) do you guys feel EA was just having a little bit of innocent fun, or went too far?
