Electronic Arts’ upcoming third-person action title Brütal Legend tells the story of a roadie – the “roadie’s roadie”, in fact – who’s memory contains every single heavy metal album cover he has seen and each and every heavy metal lyric that he has ever heard. The man in question, Eddie Riggs – voiced by the outrageously rock ‘n’ roll Jack Black- has an accident one night that results in him embarking on a great adventure inside his own… heavy metal mind. Riggs is sent unconscious on-stage one night, his blood dripping into the belt buckle(!) – a gift from his father. This blood quenches an ancient thirst that sucks him into a world where every album cover and lyric has come to life. Furthermore, the evil emperor Doviculus and his demon army, The Tainted Coil, have enslaved the last remaining humans.
