Although Activision was one of the founding publishers that formed the PC Gaming Alliance, it has been revealed that they have left. Over the past couple days people have noticed that Activision’s logo was no longer being displayed on the PCGA’s website. These people contacted the PCGA for confirmation and they replied, “a few members have decided they cannot justify the budget (membership and staff) required to maintain an active role in the PC Gaming Alliance at this time.”Apparently, Activision was one of the members that wanted out.
This wasn’t the only time Activision did this kind of thing. Last July Activision also left the Entertainment Software Association.
Even though the loss of the world’s biggest publisher was a crippling blow to the PCGA, they haven’t failed to point out that everyone else is sticking around. This includes Microsoft, Capcom, Epic, GameStop, Sony, Intel, AMD & Nvidia.
