The Game Developers’ Conference has offered us many tasty morsels to satiate our gaming appetite, but this allegedly leaked video of Mass Effect 2 gameplay has me salivating like one of Pavlov’s dogs (a German… Shepard?).  Click the jump to feast your eyes.

If that’s not an Asari alien and this isn’t Mass Effect 2, then I’ll eat my hat.  Despite BioWare claiming this next entry will be more action packed, this little snippet doesn’t look to be going too far off the path of the original.  Then again, it is in a very early form.  Even if BioWare didn’t change the formula of Mass Effect much, very minor changes were made between Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, and nobody complained then.

Here’s to hoping we are afforded some higher quality, official gameplay footage in the near footage.  Perhaps video showcasing a mega-powerful shotgun with acid rounds eating through alien armor?  This little bit of footage has me itching to replay the first game.  Better warm up the Mako.
