From the NES to the PS2 multiplayer has been a big factor in gaming. The N64 doubled that with 4 controllers ports, allowing up to 4 friends to play each other at the same time. Games like Goldeneye and Super Smash Bro’s were an instant hit. The Dreamcast also sported 4 ports and the PlayStation 2 had a multi-tap to increase the amount of players allowed to participate in a game. But what happened to friends all huddled around one television, laughing and smiling? The answer lies in one word; online.

Today Eidos revealed what appears to be the final box art for the Arkham Asylum game. The game is a 3rd person action game that pits the Dark knight against the residents of Arkham, including big baddies like the Joker and the Mr. Freeze.

Wii Price Hike In UK

With the Wii flying off shelves since it was first released, I was very surprised Nintendo stuck with their original price plan for so long. Last year Nintendo could of raised the price to £250 and it would of still sold like hotcakes. Now that the sales have started to decline slightly, they decide to raise the price.

Thanks to a tip from one of our community users, it seems like Resident Evil is adding some competitive modes in addition to the friendly “Mercenaries” game. 2v2 Competitive play in a Resident Evil? Yes please! So far it’s only been confirmed for the PS3, but something tells me it will be announced for both soon (Thanks to Basic Elite).
