I think the Halo franchise is being undermined because people think Halo is over-rated. Halo is over-rated? Then Mario&Luigi and Solid Snake are over-rated. Don’t feel that just because it sells more and is more popular. Yes, Halo Wars is a great game, up there with Starcraft and Warcraft and C&C. It’s an awesome game hands down, and you’re just pissy cause you can’t figure out how to kill the scarabs!

A 9 means it’s in the ballpark of games like Starcraft, which this game easily is not. It’s overrated because 1. It’s Halo and 2. It didn’t do a bad job of streamlining RTS controls on a console which shouldn’t be as relevant as the depth of the game play, yes it’s never easy as consoles, but we need to get over that. That’s like saying “I was able to paint this picture with my feet, is it a masterpiece?” no, impressive you could do that but lets not avoid the ultimate point here, I would say 7.5 to 8 if I was being generous.

I downloaded the demo for this and it seems to be the best RTS i have played on a console all the command and conquers are great on computer but they never pull it off on the console, i like it how Halo Wars was designed for the xbox 360 only because the controls are simple and easy to use and the game is just a shitload of fun and it seems to have a pretty big replay value and a reasonably good multiplayer, probably may get this one

Halo Wars is a good game it needs new units a Covenant camaign and lots of amps and i will play more often

Single player was really fun, but online play just didn’t cut it for me. Unlimited Resources + Population Cap = Stalemate
Unless you defeat your opponent in the first 15 minutes, your in for an extremely long game.

So this game wasn’t the be-all-end-all of console RTS’s? The Holy Grail is still out there should someone be sado masochistic enough to try and make another console RTS as hyped as Halo Wars

I wouldn’t touch this with a 10ft pole. I like RTS’s but I think Halo is one of the most overrated videogame series of all time.

It seems like a bare bones RTS, but it looks like it “works” on a console, and that’s all that matters.

Its a nice change if you just play shooters like me. I enjoyed the demo, but my brother was obsessed with it.
