The review was over 1600 words and the game probably deserved 500, Chase. Don't worry about it. You hit a ton of points, and it was more detailed than most other reviews on the game.

I apologize, I did forget to mention the perfect hit. However, the game attempts to fuse together speed and stop-go combat. I used the perfect hit soul surge only when I was using the other characters. I saw no benefit using it with Sonic. I could merely hold up and swing the remote to complete a majority of the levels. I did mention the other playable characters, but I guess I needed more detail. I stated that the game wants the player to run and slash, which these characters cannot do. I know that Sonic Team put a decent amount of content into the game, but it forces the player to play levels they have already beaten over and over again. I appreciate your commentary on this review and I will do my best to bring what I have learned from your comments into my future reviews. However, the game still sucks.

But...this review really is wrong...I'm not even that big of a Sonic fan...but c'mon...this reviewer, as well as a few others, miss a lot of important details. Like this reviewer says that the soul surge is just thoughtless waving...no mention of the perfect hit which requires precise timing. Nothing about the other playable characters, nothing about the different weapons they you forge for them that change them. A lot of things are rarely touched upon and don't go beyond "this game sucks".

@Xander

I present to you: Fanboy Friday. It's all about fanboy review commenters who trash the reviewer. This particular piece is on Sonic and the Black Knight, and a lot of them sound a lot like you.

So...how long do you think this reviewer played the game, a say a good 5 minutes, 10 minutes tops...because he scratched the surface the game, obviously sucked at it since any player aiming for the top 20 spots on the online ranking system knows how to beat a level incredibly fast and about how precise timing is key to this game, and then said it sucked.

Yeah...see...when I started playing it, my wrist hurt for shaking my wii remote a lot...but as I started sucking less...I reduced the amount of mindless shaking and replaced it with mindful shaking with precise timing.

Actually, this one wasn't that bad... I would give it atleast a 6-7.
But anyway, I had my hopes up high that sega would learn their lesson, and realize what is making their new games crap.

Sonic Adventure was great but I really enjoyed the multiplayer (what it had) and varied gameplay that Sonic Adventure 2 offered. Mario has found success because, not only was his first game great, but the subsequent games were as well. Sonic's attitude plays a big role because his personality dictates the plots and, at times, gameplay.

Amen. Adventure 1 was an amazing transition, 2 was passable, but everything after that blew. I don't get it though; Adventure 1 was their first major 3d effort and it was the only great one.
