The Xbox Live Arcade Awards are a really interesting way for gamers to connect with developers. They unveiled last year, with Bomberman Live taking home the crown for “best overall arcade game”. A new feature headlined this year is the ability to vote over your 360. It looks like this year is going to be a close one between Castle Crashers and Braid for the crown. Another interesting match-up is Bionic Commando: Rearmed against Mega Man 9 for “best classic/remake”. Without further ado, here are the nominees!

Bionic Commando Rearmed (Mega Man 9 was excellent, but Bionic improved the original, added multiplayer when no other classic games have done so, and took the time to improve the graphics/music without sacrificing the retro feel).

How is War World not a nominee for best graphics?!?! I know the game was not that fun, but it looks better than most regular 360 titles!

While I thought the graphics looked good, they skipped a lot, and they weren’t inspired models. If it were straight detail and looks, it should win though.
