If you’ve ever played a round of Warhawk, you’ll know that you usually have vast amounts of ground to cover and there are always many people buzzing around the air like headless flying chickens. I’d like to think I play the game with any tactical prowess but it’s rarely the case. Let’s face it, we all want to be Tom Cruise when we get out there, it’s every man for himself.
But what if you could plan your strategy before you entered battle? This is something Sony hopes its users will take full advantage of when they launch what will be known as the Command Centre. Exclusive to Home, the feature will include “sand tables”, whereby target points and formations can be plotted, making communication and direction throughout online matches more of a team effort.
Of course, you’ll need to make sure you have some friends around and it may take a little more patience than just jumping into battle. Having said that, I think this would be a great incentive for people to get more involved with Home and fire up one of the best multiplayer games on the PS3.
What do you think? Is Playstation Home finally bringing something interesting to the (sand) table?
