If you haven’t heard of Star Ocean: The Last Hope, it’s an upcoming JRPG for the 360. A few combat videos have surfaced on the net. They look incredibly fun, and most importantly, incredibly insane. Hit the jump for plenty of BEAMA BUSTA Japanese madness.
Ever since feeling a bit let down with FFXII, I haven’t had the urge to play traditional Japanese RPGS anymore. However, recent Star Ocean videos, and the latest FFXIII trailer make me think I need to get back into this genre as soon as possible. What do you guys think of the combat?

I’m glad someone posted this. I’ve been following this title for awhile now. I’m super excited about this game, as it should give me my RPG fix till Final Fantasy XIII is released.
I’ll tell you what Adam. I’ve beaten every Final Fantasy before XI extensively, and I absolutely adored JRPGs. I want to get back into them after seeing this and Persona 4. Plus, FFXIII looks too good to pass up.
Sigh… no PS3 version…

I know, why no PS3 version? Wasn’t the last Star Ocean game a PS2 exclusive? I might actually pick up a 360 just to play this, though…

Wow that’s weird: A gamer having an opinion! Yes, I felt like FFXII was not as good as a ton of previous iterations. I said “a bit” letdown because I didn’t like it as much as I thought it would, is that so bad? That means I don’t like JRPGS? I’ve been playing them since I was five years old! FFXII is not “new” to me.
cant wait, games looks great. loved So3. and this looks no different. XD again can’t wait. and im happy to see this gen actually getting some good Jrpgs finally.
