A couple of screenshots are making their way around the internet showcasing a concept design by Tamar Flisher for a new Playstation 3 controller being dubbed The Dual Shock Vortex. The controller has along with other new capabilities the ability to twist in the center. Although this is just concept art I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sony roll out something this year related to this concept.

The game is going to utilize the classic top down bird’s eye perspective of GTA 1 & 2, and has a heavy focus on drug trafficking. This new debut trailer for the game, however, features none of those gameplay elements, instead it showcases the games amazing art style of some possible characters. Click continue for the trailer.

Punch Out!! Wii is now set to release May 19th. While waggle support is an absolute must for this game, we can only hope that some classic bruisers return for this long-awaited sequel. Of course, some are obvious, like Glass Joe and Von Kaiser who are shown in the picture, we can only hope that some of the more iconic or memorable foes will return. (I’m looking at you Narcis Prince). Read more… »

If you’ve ever played a round of Warhawk, you’ll know that you usually have vast amounts of ground to cover and there are always many people buzzing around the air like headless flying chickens. I cower behind a metal pillar in some unknown alien city, clinging to my last bit of health as an army of killer alien droids encircle my position, waiting nervously as my healing ability recharges, my slain squad-mates being of little use alive or dead . I’m wondering why I’m choosing to push forward in a game that is so unwieldy to control, at least during the battle sequences, that death seems so frustratingly routine.
Is it the Star Wars-inspired (or, for some, derivative) story, or the depth of role-playing, even with the inclusion of some useless character-classes? Read on to find out what I mean. Read more… »
