With the Nintendo Wii already sporting a huge catalogue of controllers to use, normally any new controller would pass by with little or no notice, just another to add to the list. However, this latest piece of gear from Ninty has caught my interest.

The classic controller isn’t great, released so that gamers may play Virtual Console games on a controller styled for them, Nintendo cocked up majorly on its design, With an uncomfortable shape and slanted back it was extremely frustrating to use, and with the analogue sticks being so close together, almost painful. Most gamers would opt for the Gamecube controller, but with those off the market nowadays Ebay would be your only option.

The Classic Controller

The Classic Controller

Thankfully Nintendo have come to the rescue, after 2 years, a little late but whatever. Ninty have recently announced the Classic Controller Pro, and while its another controller to buy, its worth it. With a dubious summer release date and no price as of yet the Pro looks good enough to trade in the old and break out the new. We don’t have much info on it as of now but it looks heavier, thicker and far better styled in comparision to the Classic Controller.

Its looks remind me of the Gamecube or 360 Controller, with 4 shoulder buttons and new grips it looks a hell of a lot more comfortable to use. I can’t wait for the Classic Controller Pro, and you can take a closer look at it with its size dimensions here.

  1. They should have came out with this at launch, but pretty cool still. I’m in love with the original NES/SNES pad Wii adapters though. Those>classic controllers.

  2. @Chris
Totally agree, if they had released this 2 years ago they would of sold like hotcakes. SNES Controller > All
